The vacuum drum filter is a continuous filter with negative pressure as the driving force for filtration, and the filter surface is on the surface of a cylindrical drum. Working Principle:
The vacuum drum filter has a horizontal drum, and the drum surface is covered with a support plate and a filter cloth to form a filter surface. The space under the filter surface is divided into several separated fan-shaped filter chambers. Each filter chamber has a conduit communicating with the distribution valve. Every time the drum rotates once, each filter chamber is connected to the vacuum system and compressed air system in turn through the distribution valve, and the operations of filtering, slag washing, drying, slag unloading and filter medium (filter cloth) regeneration are completed in sequence. When filtering, the lower part of the drum is immersed in the suspension and rotates slowly. The filter chamber submerged in the suspension is connected to the vacuum system, the liquid in material is sucked inside the filter cloth, and the solid particles are adsorbed on the filter surface to form a filter residue. After the filter chamber rotates with the drum to leave the suspension, it continues to absorb the liquid saturated in the filter residue. When it is necessary to remove the remaining liquid in the filter residue, the washing water can be sprayed when the filter chamber rotates to the upper part of the drum. At this time, the filter chamber is connected to another vacuum system, and the washing nozzle sprays water through the filter residue layer to replace the remaining filtrate liquid between the particles and dredge the filter cloth holes. The filtrate liquid is sucked into the filter chamber and discharged separately, and then the filter residue forms filter cake that has been sucked up is unloaded. At this time, the filter chamber is connected with the compressed air system, and the filter cloth is blown back to loosen the filter residue, and then the filter residue is scraped off by the scraper. Compressed air (or steam) continues to blow back the filter cloth to dredge the pores.
