The microfilter is a kind of screen filter that retains fine suspended solids. It has a drum-shaped metal frame. The drum rotates around a horizontal axis. The microfiltration machine is divided into the internally fed rotary drum screen and the externally fed rotary drum screen.

The internally fed rotary drum screen is mainly used for the solid-liquid separation of industrial wastewater. It can remove impurities with suspended particles larger than 0.2 mm, and evenly pass the sewage into the rotating mesh cylinder through the water inlet, and rotate through the mesh cylinder and the slag guide on the inner wall. The dirt will be discharged through the other end and the filtered water will be discharged from the mesh cylinder gap.

Working Principle:

The principle of the internally fed rotary drum screen: sewage (or other raw water) is transported by the water pump, enters the inner water distribution tank of the drum grid from the water inlet pipe (slot), overflows by gravity, and flows through the filter surface of the drum grid. Large solids or fibers are trapped in the rotating drum, collected and moved to the outlet at one end of the drum through the action of the internal spiral plate, and fall into the trough. The drum has a backwash spray pipe that can run continuously or intermittently to remove impurities that may adhere to the drum surface and prevent the grid surface from clogging. The drum grid is driven by a gear reducer and a chain, and the speed of rotation is adjusted by a frequency converter. The filter surface of the drum can be selected as perforated plate, metal mesh and wedge-shaped grid forming mesh, which is suitable for different occasions.
1. Filtration:
Sewage flows into the filter tank by gravity. There is a water distribution weir in the filter tank. It enters the drum from one end of the drum through guidance, and then flows radially to the polygonal filter disc cavity through the long holes on the outer surface of the drum. Each filter chamber is opposed to a filter plate. The pores of the filter plate are micron, and the purpose of filtration is achieved when the water flows out of the filter plate. Gravity flow exits the filter tank through the outlet weir. The whole process is automatic and continuous.
2. Cleaning:
During the filtration process, with the continuous accumulation of suspended solids, part of the sludge is adsorbed on the inner side of the filter cloth, gradually forming a sludge layer.
With the accumulation of sludge on the filter cloth, the filtration resistance of the filter cloth increases, and the water level in the filter inlet area gradually rises. The liquid level gauge monitors the change of the liquid level in the water inlet area at any time. High water level), the submerged multi-stage centrifugal pump starts, sucks the filtered water into the pump, and sprays it to the filter plate through the nozzle. The main engine starts at the same time, drives the filter turntable to rotate, and thoroughly cleans the filter plate on the filter plate.
3. Sludge discharge:
During the cleaning process of the filter plate, the muddy water flows into the mud discharge tank in the drum and automatically drains out from the internally fed rotary drum screen.
