Sludge dewatering machines mainly include centrifugal dewatering machines, plate and frame dewatering machines, belt dewatering machines and screw-type dewatering machines. Most power plants and water plants use centrifugal dehydrators, plate and frame dehydrators or screw press dehydrators for sludge dewatering.
The main body of the screw press is composed of a filter body and a screw shaft, and the filter body is divided into two parts: concentration and dehydration. After the sludge enters the filter body, the relative movement of the fixed ring and the movable ring is used to make the filtrate quickly discharge outward through the lamination gap, and quickly concentrate, and the sludge moves to the dewatering part. After the sludge enters the dewatering section, the space in the filter chamber is continuously reduced, the internal pressure of the sludge is continuously increased, and the back pressure of the back pressure plate at the mud outlet makes it dehydrated and the dry sludge is continuously discharged out of the machine. The screw press is small in size, small in floor space, low in energy consumption, simple in structure, low in running speed (2 ~ 4 r/min), no vibration, no noise, and can be fully enclosed and run continuously for a long time. Because the sludge with large particles and high hardness will cause great wear between the screw shaft, the movable plate and the fixed plate, which will affect the dehydration effect, so this equipment is not suitable for materials containing large hardness particles, especially those containing large particles of metal.
