The horizontal decanter centrifuge is mainly composed of a rotating drum, a screw conveyor, a hydraulic differential, a hydraulic station, a main bearing, a bottom frame, a liquid-solid collection chamber, an upper cover, a motor drive, and a frequency converter. 
During operation, first start the hydraulic pump to make the screw rotate, and then the horizontal screw gradually increases its speed through the host frequency converter. Driven by the main pulley, the drum reaches the rated speed. Due to the action of the hydraulic differential, the screw generates a stable differential speed ahead of the drum to realize the screw discharge function. After the equipment rotates at a stable speed, the sludge pump is turned on. The slurry water enters the centrifuge through the flow control valve and the sludge inlet, and is accelerated by the screw acceleration bucket and then enters the drum. Under the effect of strong centrifugal force, the larger sediment is thrown on the sinking wall, and it is quickly deposited on the inner wall of the drum. Sober slag is constantly pushed to the small end of the drum, discharged from the slag outlet. The separated clear liquid is further clarified by the separation blade and discharged from the overflow port of the drum. During the whole separation process, the slurry is continuously input, the clarified liquid and sludge are continuously discharged, and the dehydration is continuous.

To enable the centrifuge to achieve the ideal effect, please pay attention or follow the following requirements:
(1) The inlet flow should be determined according to the actual feed concentration. In principle, the higher the intake concentration, the relatively smaller the setting of the inlet flow. And the intake concentration and flow should be as uniform and stable as possible, especially when the operation just starts. Flow should be gradually increased and suddenly large flow is prohibited, otherwise it will have an impact on the amount of sludge output, moisture content, clearing liquid and so on.

(2) It is recommended to manually start the centrifugal machine to observe the changes in each operating parameter; after normal operation, it is advisable to adjust to the automatic adjustment state. When the phenomenon of blocking occurs, the torque suddenly increases, at this time, it is recommended to increase the speed difference, reduce the flow of feed to make the equipment recover back to normal state.

(3) Rinse the vascal pipelines, drums and sludge in the spiral ducts before stopping, so as not to accumulate mud in the pipe or the drum. When stopping the machine, you must step down the host frequency step by step. It need to make drum stable when the frequency is reduced one level. When it is 2 Hz then the equipment can be stopped, otherwise it will cause severe vibration and damage to the equipment.

(4) After stopping, make sure that no slurry water enters the centrifuge, otherwise the main shaft will be damaged in water.
