Why Filter Presses for Mine Dewatering?

Filter presses use pressure filtration to separate solids from liquids. Slurry is pumped into chambers formed between filter plates, where filter cloth retains the solids while liquid passes through. Over time, solids build up into a cake, and continued feed pressure squeezes out additional moisture. The result is a dense, stackable cake with significantly reduced water content, and a clean filtrate that can be recycled back into the process or safely discharged.
