Air flotation machine is a device that uses tiny bubbles to bring suspended matter in the water to the surface, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation. In this way, grease, suspended solids and other pollutants in the water can be effectively removed to improve the water quality.

Working Principle

The core working principle of the flotation machine is to generate a large number of tiny bubbles in the water. These bubbles adhere to the suspended particles in the water to form a "microbubble-particle" complex with a density lower than that of water. Due to the density difference, these complexes will float to the surface of the water to form a scum layer, which will then be removed by a scraping device.

1. Bubble Generation

The flotation machine usually uses a dissolved air pump to dissolve air in water or uses a vortex gravure device to generate tiny bubbles. The size and distribution of these bubbles are crucial to the flotation effect.

2. Particle Adhesion

When the bubbles encounter suspended particles in the water during their rise, due to the effect of surface tension, the bubbles will adhere to the particles to form a larger complex.

3. Floating separation

Since the density of the "microbubble-particle" complex is lower than that of water, they will gradually float to the surface of the water to form a layer of scum.

4. Scraping and removal

The scum layer is removed continuously or intermittently by the scraping device installed on the flotation machine. The collected scum can be further processed.
