The main body of the sieve bend screen is made of precision-wedge-shaped stainless steel bars, forming an arc-shaped or flat filter screen. The untreated wastewater is evenly distributed onto the inclined screen surface through an overflow weir. Due to the small, smooth gaps on the screen surface and larger gaps on the backside, drainage is smooth, and blockage is less likely. Solid substances are intercepted, and the filtered water flows out through the gaps in the screen plate. Simultaneously, under hydraulic action, solid materials are pushed to the lower end of the screen plate and discharged, achieving solid-liquid separation.

The sieve bend screen effectively reduces the concentration of suspended solids in water, thereby reducing the processing load of subsequent processes. It is also used in industrial production for solid-liquid separation and recovery of useful substances, serving as an excellent non-powered device for filtering or recovering suspended solids, floating particles, precipitates, and other solid or colloidal substances.

The screen plate consists of an arc surface formed by wedge-shaped bars with horizontal gaps between the bars, typically with a gap width of 350 micrometers. The liquid to be screened enters through the slurry box and flows towards the screen plate through a weir by gravity. As the suspension flows along the screen plate, a thin layer of water is cut off by the screen plate bars and passes through the screen gaps along with fine particles.
