Types of Mechanical Screen Vertical Chain
The mechanical screen is the most common type wastewater treatment equipment and have many kinds of as follows:
- Manual type: removal of the dirt trapped on the mechanical screen manually, to prevent the gap between the grid blockage. In small and medium-sized sewage treatment stations, the amount of pollutants that need to be intercepted is generally small, and manual cleaning mechanical screens are set up. This type of mechanical screen is made of straight steel bars, placed at an inclination angle of 50-60°, so that the effective grid area can be increased by 40% to 80%, and it is easy to clean and reduce head loss.
- Mechanical removal screen in relatively large sewage treatment plants are set up. The install angle usually according to 60-70° , sometimes 90° placement. There are 3 kinds of transmission system of the Mechanical Screen: electric transmission, wave pressure transmission and dynamic reaction, and in engineering applications, electric transmission mechanical screen is the most common.
- According to the grid distance size of the mechanical screen, usually divided into two basic types of coarse screen and fine screen. The coarse screen is generally set in the pump station catchment pool, and the fine grating is set in front of the grit pool. According to the water treatment process, the general technology of the grating is set according to the principle of first coarse and then fine, and the spacing of the mechanical screen is determined according to the original water quality.
