Media Trap Filter is a device for trapping resin particles carried out of ion exchange with water.

When resin is used for in-water treatment, when the resin is damaged due to various reasons, the resin will enter the entire water system and affect the normal operation of other equipment in the system. Therefore, a resin trap must be installed. 

The resin trap is mainly to install a stainless steel wire-wound tube with a diameter much smaller than that of the resin on the water system pipeline near the outlet of the equipment containing resin such as ion exchange. When the resin passes, it can be intercepted and captured by the filter. The resin can be discharged out of the system.

Structure classification

Media Trap Filter is divided into tubular resin trap, vertical resin trap, and Y-type resin trap.

• The inside of the Y-type is a single stainless steel wire-wound filter element type, using O-ring seals, and the equipment is lined with 1751 semi-hard rubber.
• The inside of the tube is a single stainless steel wire-wound filter element type, which can be used for make-up water and low-pressure condensate water systems. The equipment is lined with 1751 semi-hard rubber.
• The vertical internal device is a multiple stainless steel wire filter element type, and the internal anti-corrosion of the equipment adopts black epoxy asphalt paint. 
  Generally used for large units.
