What is Resin Trap?

Resin Trap

Application: should be installed in water product lines and most resin- and media-based water treatment equipment.

Resin Trap

Resin Trap are preventive devices on the water treatment system line to ensure that the media is completely lost in the event of a failure. Resin trap are used in service outlets and backwash pipelines for ion exchange devices, high purity water systems, and activated carbon and media filters. The resin trap is activated by the medium that escapes at the beginning of the fault, and the media collected in the resin trap prevents a significant loss of water and media.

Typically, resin trap is placed between devices, behind the devices or in backwash lines, in PVC and stainless steel structures with transparent acrylic tubes. It has a resin/media drain valve for trap cleaning and media recovery, as well as three end connection options: thread, sleeve or flange. Resin trap has high flow rates and low pressure losses, as well as a clean trap pressure drop of less than 2.0 psig.

Features:

  • The V-shaped surface wires allow easy cleaning by backwashing.
  • Custom slots and sizes to meet your existing and new spool limits, flow rates, pressures and other needs.
  • Anti-clogging structures reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
  • Stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and has a long service life, reducing replacement costs.
  • Continuous slots provide a high percentage of open areas to minimize pressure loss through the system.
