The working principle of the folded belt rotary drum vacuum filter is the same as that of the scraper type, the only difference is that the filter cloth of the belt-folded rotary drum vacuum filter is zigzagly wound between the rotary drum and each roller. It has better filtering effect on fine viscous materials. It is widely used to filter non-ferrous metal concentrates and coal floating washing products after floating washing and to treat sewage.

When the scraper vacuum drum filter treats the fine and sticky materials, there are disadvantages such as difficulty in unloading, poor air permeability, easy clogging of filter cloth, high moisture content of filter cake, and low production capacity.

Since the folding belt filter changes the discharge method and strengthens the cleaning of the filter cloth, these shortcomings are basically overcome.

Working principle

After the filter cake passes through the vacuum zone, the filter cloth is drawn out of the cylinder by a set of rollers for unloading and cleaning, and the cleaned filter cloth returns to the cylinder to work again. Folding belt vacuum filter is to let the filter cloth bypass the discharge roller, and make the filter cake fall automatically by changing the curvature. Discharging in this way not only improves the filtration capacity, but also eliminates the need for blasting, so that the filter cake will not increase moisture due to backwater. The folded belt filter leads the filter cloth out of the cylinder, and there is enough time to clean the filter cloth in an effective way. Generally, pressurized water is used to flush both sides of the filter cloth, and devices such as drama and cloth beater can be used for more thorough cleaning as needed to ensure the air permeability of the filter cloth. Folding belt vacuum filter is suitable for dehydration of fine and sticky materials.
