When filtering the filtrate, the scraper vacuum drum filter is a very useful device. Its separation is achieved by filter cloth, and compressed air will be continuously blown to the scraper to achieve scraping. But we should choose it to what kind of material?
- The scraper vacuum drum filter is suitable for use in suspensions with moderate proportion, moderate concentration and relatively uniform particle size.
- When the viscosity is small and there is no gum, this filter can be used to filter the suspension.
- When the filtrate contains a little solid phase particles, it can be filtered with a scraper vacuum drum filter.
- When the content that needs to be processed and filtered is very large, and continuous operation is required, it is necessary to use this filter for filtration.
- If the thickness of the filter cake is more than 5mm within two minutes, a scraper vacuum drum filter can be used.
- This equipment can also be used for filtration when the solid phase sedimentation velocity is below 12mm.
The main structure of the scraper vacuum drum filter includes a drum, a distribution head, a stirrer, a scraper and a slurry tank. The drum surface (circumferential surface) is inlaid with a number of rectangular sieve plates, metal plates and filter cloths are laid on the sieve plate in sequence. And the space in the drum under the sieve plate is separated by radial ribs, depending on the size of the drum, constitute independent fan-shaped small filter chamber. Each small filter chamber communicates with the distribution head at the main journal end with a separate hole. The distribution head is also divided into multiple chambers by radial ribs, which are respectively connected to the vacuum source or compressed air.
