What is Pipe Based Well Screen?
The Pipe Based Well Screen consists of a base pipe, an all-welded wedge wire screen pipe and a support bar. The base pipe is perforated or slotted API casing, and the base pipe can be stainless steel or carbon steel API 5CT casing. The fully welded wedge wire screen is welded to the base pipe by a support rod. Suitable for harsh environments such as high pressure, high temperature, and slant wells. Pipe-based well screens can be easily modified to meet most well applications, such as steam, water, injection and waste disposal.

JX Filtration provide options of stainless steel 304, 316L, carbon steel and Super duplex 2205, 2507 or as required depending on practical applications.
Custom services
Specifications including slot size, the number of support rod, the diameter of base pipe and end fittings and thread connections are all customized for different applications and diverse requirements by customers. Usually, slot width is from 20 microns to 2000 micron.
Features
1. Perfect overall strength and strong resistance to deformation. The overall strength of drilling base pipe is only 2~3% lower than that of standard casing or oil pipe. Therefore it can withstand the compression deformation from the formation with sufficient overall strength. Even if local deformation occurs, the gap of the compressed part will not be enlarged. It has proved to be highly reliable in sand prevention.
2. High flow rate. The jacket adopts V-shaped steel wire well screen, which allows more water or oil to enter, with less frictional head loss and significantly higher well efficiency.
3. High slit density and low flow resistance. Slot density is 3~5 times higher than traditional slit sieve, with low flow resistance. It is conducive to increase the production of oil or gas.
