Various Bar Screen - Water Treatment
According to the slag removal method, it can be divided into three categories: manual cleaning grid, mechanical cleaning grid and hydraulic cleaning grid.
The grid is a part of the sewage treatment equipment that protects the whole set system. It is the primary filtration equipment to intercept coarse suspended solids or floating impurities, such as wood chips, broken skins, fibers, hair, peels, vegetables, plastic products, etc.
The specific types are as follows:
- Revolving Chain Screen (Rotating Chain Rake Screen)
Application: suitable for deep pools and removal of long fibers, ribbons and other impurities.
Pros & Cons: occupies a small area. Convenient to manufacture and maintain. But it is easy to get stuck and the corrosion resistance is poor.
- Mechanical Bar Screen
Application: the driving device removes the sludge trapped by the screen through the chain belt and removed by the skimming mechanism. It is suitable for blocking large particles of various deep pool and water.
Pros & Cons: compact structure, light weight and stable performance. It can manual operate intermittently or automatic operate continuously. But it needs to be equipped with a circular arc grid and the removal effect of small particles is poor.
- Rotary Grid Screen
Application: It can automatically separate solid and liquid and remove various shapes of particles in sewage. it is generally used in deep ponds and shallow ponds.
Pros & Cons: can be applied to grid wells of different depths, with good decontamination effect, and cover small space. But it is difficult to manufacture and install.
- Stepped Mechanical Screen
Application: suitable for large-scale urban sewage treatment plants.
Pros & Cons: good decontamination effect, stable operation and convenient maintenance but the equipment occupies a large area.
- Sieve Bend Screen
Application: suitable for the inlet channel of shallow pools.
Pros & Cons: has a small footprint, stable operation and easy maintenance. But it has poor removal effect of small particles.
- Static Sieve Screen (DSM screen)
Application: suitable for shallow water tanks in small and medium-sized sewage treatment plants or pumping stations.
Pros & Cons: simple in structure, easy to install and use, and has high operating efficiency. But it is difficult to manufacture the arc-shaped grille.
- Box-type Chain Rake Screen
Application: suitable for the removal of coarse particles and suspended solids in sewage treatment projects with medium and small water volumes. It is often placed in the pipeline.
Pros & Cons: no need to build a special matching grid well. Convenient to move. But it is more difficult to manufacture, and the removal effect of small particles is not ideal.
- Rotary Drum Screen
Application: suitable for sewage treatment projects with medium and small water volumes. It is generally placed on the inlet channel of the sump.
Pros & Cons: easy to install and has a stable long-distance effect. But it is more difficult to manufacture and maintain.
