Vacuum Drum Filter is suitable for filtering suspensions with moderate solid phase concentration and specific gravity and relatively uniform particle size as following condition:
1. The thickness of the cake obtained within two minutes of filtration time is greater than 5 mm suspension.
2. Solids with moderate specific gravity and particle size, resulting in a solid phase settling rate of less than 12mm suspension.
3. Suspensions with less viscosity and no gum to block the filter cloth, making it easier to regenerate the filter cloth.
4. The filtration temperature is less than the suspension vaporization temperature under a considerable vacuum in the drum.
5. A small amount of solid phase particles are allowed to remain in the filtrate.
6. The processing capacity is large and continuous operation is required.
