Marine Oil Separator
Marine Oil Separator system integrates separator, oil pump, heat exchanger,pneumatic three-way valve, pressure sensor, temperature sensor and other component into a complete module which with advantages as compact structure and convenient installation. The system can be operated through touch screen directly thanks to the high automation PLC program control, meanwhile realize real- time monitor the running status of separator and fault alarm analysis, etc.
Working Principle
The fuel without purification and separation is composed of pure oil, water and mechanical impurities, and their densities are different. Among them, the density of pure oil is the smallest, the density of mechanical impurities is the largest, and the moisture density is in the middle. If the fuel is placed in the separation cylinder with high-speed rotation, the fuel rotates with the separation cylinder at high speed, and the pure oil, moisture and mechanical impurities in the fuel are in the centrifugal force field.
Like the gravity field used in precipitation separation, the centrifugal inertia forces generated by oil, water and mechanical impurities are different, and they will be stratified along the direction of centrifugal force. The centrifugal inertia force of mechanical impurities is the largest and remains in the outermost ring of the separation cylinder. The centrifugal inertia force of pure oil is the smallest and converges near the rotating shaft. Moisture is in between. The centrifugal inertia force of mechanical impurities, moisture and pure oil is thousands of times greater than its own gravity, so the use of marine centrifugal oil separator can shorten the fuel purification time and improve the purification effect.
