How are centrifuges used in the paper mill process?

Disc Centrifuge

Centrifuge is a device that uses centrifugal force to achieve solid-liquid separation. It is widely used in the process flow of paper mills, mainly in the following aspects:

1. Pulp purification.
The centrifuge effectively separates the fibers, fillers and fine impurities in the pulp through the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation.

2. Pulp degassing.
During the pulp preparation process, air easily mixes into the pulp to form bubbles. The high-speed rotation of the centrifuge can quickly discharge the bubbles from the pulp, reducing pinholes and defects on the paper.

3. Wastewater treatment.
The wastewater generated in the papermaking process contains a large amount of fibers and fillers. The centrifuge can efficiently recycle these useful substances and reduce resource waste.

4. White water recycling.
The centrifuge can also be used for white water treatment, by removing the fine fibers and fillers in it, so that the white water can be recycled.

5. Raw material preparation.
In the raw material preparation stage, the centrifuge is used to increase the raw material concentration, dehydrate from the pulp in proportion, and optimize the subsequent process flow.
