Why Vibratory Screen Is Essential for Titanium Powder Processing?
Titanium powder presents a unique set of screening challenges. At 53 microns, the particles are fine enough to agglomerate under static charge and surface tension, blinding conventional mesh in minutes. Add a bulk density of 2.5–3.0 g/cm³—relatively heavy for a metal powder—and the material demands both gentle handling and precise slot control. For a process requiring 35–38 kg/min throughput through a 63-micron aperture, a standard circular screener alone will rarely hold efficiency. JX Filtration addresses this with Ultrasonic Vibrating Screen engineered for exactly these conditions.

The solution combines two motion systems. The vibratory motor generates three-dimensional movement, spreading powder across the screen in an involute spiral. Simultaneously, an ultrasonic transducer introduces high-frequency micro-vibration directly to the mesh, breaking apart agglomerates and neutralizing static adhesion before particles reach the aperture. The result is continuous, clog-free operation at fine mesh sizes where mechanical vibration alone fails.
For the stated duty—35–38 kg/min (approximately 2,100–2,280 kg/h) —screen diameter becomes the critical selection variable. Fine-powder capacity does not scale linearly with nominal machine rating; it depends on bulk density, particle shape, and the percentage of near-size material. With titanium powder at 2.5–3.0 g/cm³ and a tight 53/63-micron cut, JX Filtration would size this application at the upper end of the standard range, typically JX-RVS-1500 or a custom 1800-mm configuration, rather than relying on catalogue throughput figures measured under ideal dry-sand conditions. This ensures the 63-micron aperture receives powder as a thin, uniform layer rather than an overloaded bed.

All product-contact components are available in SS304 as specified, with mirror-polished internal surfaces to prevent fine titanium retention and cross-contamination. Quick-release screen frames allow inspection and mesh replacement without extended downtime. For reactive titanium grades.
