How It Works – The Disc Stack Advantage
The heart of the machine is a high-speed rotating bowl containing a stack of conical discs. Feed enters the bowl and is accelerated by centrifugal force. Under this immense force, the three phases separate into distinct concentric layers: solids (densest) migrate outward to the bowl wall; heavy liquid forms the middle layer; and light liquid moves inward toward the center. Each phase is then discharged through its own dedicated outlet—two liquid ports and one solids discharge port.
The disc stack multiplies the effective separation area within a compact footprint, enabling the capture of particles as fine as 0.5 microns. This makes the three-phase disc centrifuge ideal for applications where conventional gravity settling or coarser screens simply cannot achieve the required clarity.
