What is Pulp Slot Screen?

Pulp Slot Screen is a screening tool in pulping equipment in the paper industry.
It can be used not only for the screening of pulp before the papermaking process, but also for fine screening of waste paper pulp.
Working principle:
- The pulp enters the cavity between the cylinder and the pressure drum screen basket.
- The pressure difference between the two sides of the pressure screen basket causes the qualified fibers in the pulp to flow into the drum screen through the screen gap.
- Then drain from the lower water outlet.
The size of the screen gap (slot size) determines the opening area of the screen.
Generally, the larger the screen area of the slot screen, the larger the gap size.
At the same time, the screening speed will be increased, but the screening quality will be significantly reduced, so a second screening is required.
(Opening rate = slot size / wedge wire profile width + slot size)
