The structure of Intake Screen:
A compressor for re-inflating the air tank
A receiving tank for storing the compressed air supplied by the compressor
Components of pneumatic valves and pipes that connect the receiver to the inlet
A control panel for manual or automatic operation
With backwashing mechanism, intake screen could regularly clean each inlet. It is suitable for drinking water, plants, fish hatcheries, industrial process water, power plant cooling water, desalination plants, and many other applications. The intake screen equipped with a self-cleaning intake filter system, is designed to reduce the slit inlet speed by 0.5 f/s / 0.135 m/s. Lower inlet speeds protect surrounding aquatic life and prevent debris clogging.
The intake screen have tee type, hemi type and drum type three different types. Tee type with high capacity and low cost, hemi type with low water depth and surface mount, drum type with low head loss and flexible orientation.
