What is Duplex Bag Filter Housing?

Duplex Bag Filter Housing, also known as a parallel bag filter, is a filtration system consisting of a common valve body, two parallel filter chambers, a switching valve, and necessary piping accessories. Its core design concept is to achieve uninterrupted, continuous filtration and online protection.

Operating Principle and Operating Modes.

The power of the duplex bag filter lies in its valve system, which allows it to operate in two main modes:

1. Parallel Simultaneous Filtration Mode.

• State:The inlet valve is open, allowing the filtered liquid to enter both filter chambers simultaneously. Both outlet valves are also open, allowing the filtered liquid to combine and flow out of the combined outlet.
• Purpose: This mode provides maximum filtration flow and is the standard mode for handling high-flow conditions.

2. Single-Side Isolation Mode.

This is the most critical function of the duplex bag filter. When one filter bag reaches the end of its life and needs to be replaced:

• Step 1: Operate the switching valve to close the inlet and outlet valves of the filter chamber on the side requiring maintenance. This filter chamber is now completely isolated from the system, while the other filter chamber continues to operate normally. No system downtime is required.
• Step 2: Open the vent valve of the isolated filter chamber to release internal pressure. Then, open the quick-open basket cover, remove the dirty filter bag, and replace it with a new one.
• Step 3: Close the cover, open the vent valve, and use system pressure to purge the air from the chamber. Then, reopen the inlet and outlet valves on that side to resume operation.

Purpose: This allows for non-stop operation, significantly improving production efficiency and equipment continuity.
