What are the types of self-cleaning filters?
The three main types of self-cleaning filters are brush type, scraper type and backwash type. Here is a detailed introduction:
1. Brush type self-cleaning filter.
Working principle: The brush type self-cleaning filter uses a motor to drive a rotating brush to clean the filter. When water flows through the filter, impurities are trapped, resulting in an increase in the pressure difference. Once the pressure difference reaches the preset value, the electronic controller activates the hydraulic control valve and drive motor, starts the brush to rotate, and opens the drain valve to remove impurities deposited in the filter.
Advantages: It is suitable for filtering high-viscosity or easily scaled media, and can penetrate deep into the filter to completely remove impurities.
2. Scraper type self-cleaning filter.
Working principle: The scraper type self-cleaning filter uses a flexible scraper to automatically clean the surface of the filter. As impurities accumulate on the fine filter, a pressure difference is formed. When the pressure difference reaches the set value, the motor drives the scraper to rotate and remove the dirt on the filter element.
Advantages: Simple operation, no damage to the filter, suitable for high-precision, large-flow filtering occasions.
3. Backwash self-cleaning filter.
Working principle: The backwash self-cleaning filter removes pollutants by flushing the filter screen with reverse water flow. When the electric actuator guides the butterfly valve to be in the open state, the water flows into the filter from the inlet and flows out after being filtered by the filter screen. Close the butterfly valve when sewage needs to be discharged. Open the electric sewage valve, part of the water flows into the system from the outlet, and the remaining water flows from the outside of the filter screen to the inside, and is discharged through sewage discharge to complete the reverse flushing.
Advantages: simple structure, low maintenance cost, and can be cleaned during normal operation of the system.
These three types of self-cleaning filters have their own characteristics and are suitable for different application scenarios and needs. Choosing a suitable self-cleaning filter can effectively extend the service life of the equipment and ensure water quality safety.
