What is the Wastewater Treatment Process in Paper Making?

Wastewater Treatment

Filtration equipment in wastewater treatment is used to remove suspended solid particles and microorganisms in wastewater to ensure that the water quality to meet the discharge standards or reuse requirements.
The following is the wastewater treatment process in paper making and the application of filtration equipment:

Wastewater is treated by sieve bend screen to intercept short fibers and impurities in the waste pulp, which is collected and recycled. Wastewater into the regulating pool to adjust the amount of water, in order to reduce the water quality and water fluctuations on the subsequent biochemical treatment of the adverse effects. Wastewater in the regulating pool is lifted into the air flotation tank by the pump, coagulant and flocculant are added, and flocs are formed by the reaction. Through the tiny bubbles released by the dissolved air water preparation system, the flocs are quickly lifted up to complete the solid-liquid separation, most of the pollutants in the wastewater are removed, and the air-floating sludge is discharged into the pulp reuse sludge tank.

The water in the clear water area of the air flotation machine enters the pulse hydrolysis acidification pool, using anaerobic bacteria in anaerobic conditions, the large molecule organic matter in the wastewater will be converted into small molecule organic matter. And finally decomposed into CH4, CO2, and then into the biological contact oxidation pool. Under the aeration condition of rotary fan, microorganisms in the pool will further decompose and digest the pollutants in the water through aerobic action, and degrade the organic matter into water and carbon dioxide, so that the water quality can be purified. After contact oxidation treatment, the sewage containing suspended particles of microorganisms enters the sedimentation tank for mud-water separation. The supernatant is filtered through the multi-media filter tank to meet the discharge standard or reuse.

The sludge flows to the sludge storage tank and is elevated to the filter press for dewatering by the sludge pump, and the dry sludge is transported out for disposal.

In short, filtration equipment is an indispensable part of the wastewater treatment process. Through various physical and chemical means, it ensures that harmful substances in wastewater are effectively removed. Choosing the right filtration technology and equipment is critical to achieving the goals of wastewater treatment.
