Rotary Drum Screen - Slaughterhouse
Rotary drum screen is well applied in the viscera treatment area, it could capture all of the water from the viscera removal process and the smaller particles from the viscera stream enters wastewater treatment plant. The filtration result is that more organic solids are screened out of the wastewater, which not only increases the amount of purification, but also reduces the amount of chemicals required for wastewater treatment.
The filter precision of rotary drum screen applied in slaughterhouse cannot be higher than 0.5mm otherwise the screen will be easily clogged. Besides, if the water or operate temperature is lower than 25℃, the grease will clog the screen easily. To solve this problem, slaughterhouses generally use hot water interval of about 10 hours to backwash the screen once. The grease of the screen will melt in the hot water.
