How Does Self Cleaning Filter Design?

Self-cleaning filter is widely applied in dealing with water with oil, organic matter, viscous substance, fine particles and high hardness.

Self Cleaning Filter is composed of body, filter elements, backwashing mechanism, electric control cabinet, reducer, electric control valve and differential pressure controller. 

Working principle:

  • The diaphragm plate in the tank divides its inner cavity into a turbid liquid cavity and a clear liquid cavity, and a plurality of filter elements are installed on the diaphragm plate.
  • The turbid liquid sent by the water pump enters the turbid liquid cavity through the inlet, and then enters the inner cavity of the filter elements through the partition hole.
  • The impurities larger than the gap of the filter elements are intercepted, and the clear liquid passes through the gap to the clear liquid cavity.
  • All the liquid filtered by the filter elements converges in the clear liquid cavity and is finally sent out from the outlet.

  • The filter element ( slot size:100-3000um) adopts a high-strength wedge-wire filter screen, and the filter element is automatically cleaned through pressure difference control and timing control.
  • When impurities in the filter accumulate on the surface of the filter element to cause the inlet and outlet pressure difference to increase to the set value, or the pipeline filter timer reaches the preset time, the electric control box sends a signal to drive the backwashing mechanism.
  • When the backwash suction cup port is directly opposite to the filter element inlet, the drain valve is opened, and the system discharges pressure at this time. A negative pressure zone appears on the inside of the suction cup and the filter element whose relative pressure is lower than the water pressure on the outside of the filter element.
  • Part of the circulating water to flow in from the outside of the filter element to inside of the filter element, the impurity particles adsorbed on the inner wall of the filter element discharge from the drain valve.
