Rotary Drum Filter

There are four types of rotary drum filter: internally fed rotary drum filter, externally fed rotary drum filter, rotary drum filter for fish pond and channel rotary drum filter.

Internally fed rotary drum filter (water flow direction: inside to outside)

Working principle:

  • It is suitable for solid-liquid separation in industrial wastewater. It can remove the pollutants with suspended particles larger than 0.2mm.
  • The wastewater is slowly and evenly distributed into the rotating drum screen cylinder from the buffered water inlet pipe. The drum screen and the slag guide spiral are rotated synchronously to discharge the slag through the other end, and the filtered water is discharged from the gap of the drum screen mesh.

Application:

Coal and coke washeries, ore beneficiant plants, sugar mills, cement, chemical and fertilizer plants, cellulose, wood and straw pulp and board industries, sewage, effluent and water treatment.

Externally fed rotary drum filter (water flow direction: outside to inside)

Working principle:

  • Wastewater enters the water tank through the water inlet valve, and rises to the filtering water level through the partition of the buffer uniform box.
  • The filtered water enters the water storage tank through the gap of the screen and is discharged at the bottom. At the same time, the screen is cleaned, and the impurities and fiber organic matter are removed and discharged to the slag hopper.

Application: 

Removal of fine particles above 0.25mm in diameter in water, suitable for wastewater treatment in various industries such as papermaking, leather making, slaughtering, wine making, food, chemical fiber, and textiles.

Rotary drum filter for fish pond

Working principle:

  • It uses a rotating stainless steel drum screen to achieve filtration. There is a dense 316L stainless steel screen on the outside of the drum. The drum screen can be driven by a motor through gears.
  • On the outside of the filter, there is a pressurized water pump composed of a plastic pump casing. The pressurized water pump is connected to a row of plastic nozzles.
  • Inside the box, there are two water level controllers, which can transmit signals to the control electric box according to the water level change.
  • There is a large-diameter water inlet, a small-diameter drain, and a sewage pipe on the box body. The drainage adopts the rear-mounted water pump. 

Application:

Application: aquaculture, sewage treatment plants, chemical plants, food plants, etc.

Channel rotary drum filter

Working principle:

  • The equipment integrates the four functions of sewage interception, slag removal, screw lifting, and squeezing dewatering. The equipment is installed in the channel at 35° from the horizontal plane, and the sewage flows into from the port of the rotating drum. The water flows out through the grating slit on the side of the drum.
  • The drum screen traps suspended solids and floating objects in the water in the drum. The drum rotates at 5-8r/min speed. There are nylon brushes and flushing water nozzles above the drum to remove the slag. The output is lifted by a spiral.
  • After being dehydrated and squeezed, the slag is discharged into the container or subsequent transportation device.
